Ones to Watch: Lauren Knott

I remember sitting down with one of the directors, Maria Wagner, and asking her which of the performers from the show was going to make it big. Her response to me was Meg Ryan (who that summer rose to stardom in When Harry Met Sally) and Julianne Moore.

In covering the Triangle theatre scene for Broadway World over the last couple of months, I have seen some amazing performances from local talent who in my opinion have a certain je ne sais quoi about them. Consequently, I wanted to feature those artists as part of a new feature on this blog called Ones to Watch.

In this first installment, I had the opportunity to sit down with Lauren Knott, who is currently playing Ilse in North Raleigh Arts and Creative Theatre’s production of Spring Awakening, which runs through June 17. For more information on NRACT’s production, visit:
